Albums you must own

Posted by twobs on February 27th, 2006

Like with the wrestling matches, I’m going to suggest some albums I think everyone should hear. Again, i’m not claiming it to be some kind of all conclusive ‘NME top 100 albums ever!’ kind of list that features Artic monkeys at number one even though the list was written before they were even born, its [...]

Awesome Vs Tanaka

Mike Awesome Vs Masato Tanaka – ECW One Night Stand, 2005

ECW Once Night Stand was a brilliant night in its self. For a lot of the wrestlers on the card this match was the match of their career; first ECW PPV for 5 years, possibility of a longer term WWE contract. This meant there were [...]

Kurt Angle Vs Shane McMahon, Street fight – WWF King of the Ring 2001

Shane McMahon is, according to Mick Foley, the definition of hardcore. He isn’t a trained wrestler, he is the son of the boss. A wealthy business man in his own right, he doesn’t have to go out every week and give his [...]

Posted by twobs on February 25th, 2006

I’m not going to make a list of the best matches ever or whatever, I don’t remember all the matches ever, so can’t really say which ones are better than others. However, I am going to start picking out a few of my favorites that really are worth seing.

Down with the kids

Posted by twobs on February 25th, 2006

Record Label Kids have started offering free MP3s with their vinyl releases.
Its about time someone did this, not having a digital copy for my iPod is the one thing that really puts me off vinyl. It means I either have to download the album again, illegally, from Oink, or buy the album twice. Neither of [...]

Capital of culture 2008 is such bollocks. It has nothing to do with culture. It has everything to do with making as much money as possible. This is a real shame, as Liverpool has, and always has had, masses of culture, and now its just being ruined by the councils money obsessed plans.

Happy Shopper OS X

Posted by twobs on February 23rd, 2006

PCMag.com have some screenshots of Windows Vista.

Its just a blatant rip-off of OS X.

From the basics like the apperance, down to the windows switching based on Expose, and the sidebar which is spookily like the dashboard. And the subtle change from Widgets to Gadgets.

Again, Microsoft have just started to catch up on features Apple came [...]

I heart OS X

Posted by twobs on February 20th, 2006

I Love my Mac. Its my best friend. He’s small, shiney, does exactly what I want when I want. He does loads of stuff that I couldn’t have done on my old Windows machine (Old being the opperative word). He has only crashed once in the 6 months I’ve had him. In short, he is [...]

Smoking helps stop imperialism

Posted by twobs on February 20th, 2006

I haven’t written anything about the smoking ban, partly because its a bit of a boring subject, and partly because everything has already been said about it. Except this…

Because the war on terror was a waste of time and a loss of face, the only effect perhaps having been rising oil prices, the U.K. could [...]
