Yorkshire Tea

Posted by twobs on May 8th, 2007

I haven’t yet reviewed Yorkshire Tea. I don’t really know what to say about it. Yorkshire Tea is the benchmark by which I measure other teas, I choose Yorkshire Tea because it is by far the best regular tea there is, and I have yet to taste any tea that is better.

Yorkshire Tea is what [...]

PG Tips One Cup

Posted by twobs on April 21st, 2007

I’ve had to drink so much PG Tips recently I think I’m becoming numb to how bad it tastes.

PG Tips One Cup is the same old PG Tips taste we all know and loathe, but presented in a handy tampon designed to allow as little diffusion as possible.

The lack of room to move means the [...]

PG Tips Special Blend Tea

Posted by twobs on March 26th, 2007

This box of PG Tips Special Brew was one of many filling a reduced shelf in my local Tesco. From the start it doesn’t have all that much going for it.

1. There is a lot of it on the reduced shelf.
2. Its name is reminiscent of tramps favorite, Carlsberg Special Brew.
3. Its PG Tips.

But in [...]

Twinings Everyday Tea

Posted by twobs on March 26th, 2007

Twinings Everyday Tea is certainly a tea fit for Steven Fry, wether its suitable for his builder as well is debatable. Indeed, it may not even be compleetly suitable for Fry either. In trying to capture a section of the market Twinings thought they were missing out on they seem to have pleased no-one.

Everyday Tea [...]

Ainsley Harriott Xtra Tea

Posted by twobs on March 21st, 2007

You’re probably as surprised as I was when walking round Home Bargains and finding a shelf full of this stuff, but its true the worlds worst, campest, and most annoying TV chef has his own brand of tea. Tea as shite as he is. Ains’ was infact so dissapointed with this tea that the photo [...]

Lancashire tea

Posted by twobs on February 5th, 2007

Tea, apparently, has its own wars of the roses. Although it appears that Yorkshire has won by the popular vote, Lancashire continues to throw its hat into the ring.

Being from Liverpool I should naturally favour Lancashire tea to Yorkshire tea, but it would take a lot to dethronemy beloved Yorkshire Tea.

Lancashire tea has the same [...]

PG Tips

Posted by twobs on February 1st, 2007

PG Tips is a piss-poor excuse for tea. heaven knows why its so popular because its easilly the worst every-day tea available. Having said that, its not terrible, after all, its still tea. If it was all that was on offer I would still accept it, although I would think twice.

PG Tips use the [...]

Clipper Organic Redbush

Posted by twobs on January 14th, 2007

Redbush, or Rooibos as it now seems very middle class to call it, is a naturally sweet and caffene free tea. The overall taste is very soothing and the lack of caffene makes it perfect for a relaxing evening drink that won’t keep you up.

The aroma smells as sweet as the tea tastes. Its full [...]

Twinings Assam

Posted by twobs on January 13th, 2007

Assam is a more ‘standard’ tasting tea, but with the quality blending Twinings gives to all of their teas. This is a brilliant daytime tea, its strong enough to have a classic flavour but not too heavy so as to slow you down. Perfect to relax at the end of a day of work or [...]
